In autumn, there is a call for tuning inward as the energy transitions from yang (warmer/expansion) to yin (cooler/contraction). As we see in nature, there is release everywhere, a letting go, an attention to our inner resources. The passive Yin & Restorative poses will go deeper to the inner layers (ligaments, tendons, bones & deep fascia) with a focus on the lungs & large intestine, related to respiration & digestion. These longer held poses allow the body to clear toxins, stagnation & unnecessary holding patterns for healing & nourishment of the inner self. After settling with slow, steady, stress reducing longer held poses, we will get completely comfortable with Yoga Nidra, a gentle meditation that relaxes & releases each layer of the body & mind. Please bring yoga mat, blankets & water. Optional essential oils offered. All levels welcome.
